To add to our continuous and exclusive updates about the shooting of 'Umrao Jaan' in Uttar Pradesh's Mehmoodabad in Sitapur district ( at Raja Mehmodabad's palace) , here is the next in the series .

The entire unit of the film moved to a place called Rampur Kalan (Saraiya) in Sitapur district . The Tuesday schedule took place at the residence of a local Avadesh Srivastava and a 5-minute 'mujra' ( a traditional dance-cum-song) was canned in two hours flat .

The shooting commenced at about 11 O'clock and after completing the song shoot , Aishwarya left in a 'palki'(palanquin) only to stop near a 'peepal' tree to gaze at a swing . Later , a child artist ( playing baby Aishwarya ) was shot on the same swing , obviously for a flashback sequence .

The shooting ended at about 4O'clock but much before that Aishwarya left for a function in New Delhi.
