The Priyadarshan directed Salman-Kareena-Rimi Starrer 'Kyon Ki' which is based on the Malayalam movie 'Thalavattam' , is due for release in the first week of November . Salman plays a character who is accused of the murder of his wife and is declared mentally unstable .

The original Malayalam film featured Mohanlal in the male lead and the vesatile actor bagged all the awards of that year for his amazing performance .

Paying compliment to Mohanlal Salman says jovially , " I didn't see 'Thalavattam' because I didn't want to be complexed by Mr. Mohanlal's work . However , I would like him to see 'Kyon Ki' and tell me what he feels about my work ."
