As most are aware , Karan Johar left for New York on 14th September for a 3-month -long shooting schedule of his 'Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna' . The entire cast - comprising Amitabh Bachchan , Shah Rukh Khan , Rani Mukerji , Preity Zinta , Abhishek Bachchan and Kiron Kher - is participating in the marathon spell .

Although Amitabh is currently in Rajasthan shooting for Vidhu Vinod Chopra's 'Eklavya'(earlier 'Yagna') , he will join the 'KANK' unit later . Before leaving for the US , Karan shot scenes in India for about 10 days .

According to the super-successful filmmaker ('Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' and 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham') , his multi-starrer would be "nearly complete" after the US schedule .
