Never in their wildest dreams would Yash Raj have imagined that their announcement about the next Saif Ali Khan -Siddharth Anand project (after 'Salaam Namaste') would backfire so badly that the same trade sources that were eating out of their palms till last week and giving childish excuses like " Collections from many centres could not be obtained due to rains!" (to cover up for the ordinary collections in many parts of India ) , are the ones punching holes in their above mentioned announcement .

According to sources , in a bid to boost the sagging collections of 'Salaam Namaste' in many parts of India in the first week itself , Yash Raj went ahead and made a premature announcement about Saif signing their next movie with the same director ( 'Salaam Namaste') , assuming that Saif being obliged to them ( for his first solo hit 'Hum Tum') would play along with them . But the righteous kind of guy that Saif is , he made it quite clear that he had not signed any such project .

May be , Yash Raj will now realise that the media as well as certain sections of the trade are with banners and production houses till they are successful and with just a hint of a chink in the armour they move on to the next paying proposition .
