Tamil Actor K R Singamuthu Files For Anticipatory Bail Against VadiveluÂ´s Complain!

Chennai, Feb 3 (PTI) Tamil film actor K R Singamuthu today filed two anticipatory bail applications in the Madras High Court apprehending arrest in connection with a complaint lodged by comedian Vadivelu with the city police alleging defraud by two of his close associates to the tune of several crores of rupees.

Singamuthu said he apprehended arrest in connection with Vadivelu's complaint for charges of cheating and criminal intimidation among other things.

Stating that there was no bad antecedent against him, he claimed a 'false' complaint had been filed by the defacto complainant due to previous enimity.

Vadivelu had yesterday lodged a complaint with the city police commissioner alleging that some of his associates had taken money from him, promising purchase of land in various places of the state but had failed to do so.
