The Ekta Kapoor-promoted Alt Entertainment's in-the-news sensual paranormal thriller, 'Ragini MMS' (co-produced by Sid Jain's iRock) is the first Bollywood film to be shot entirely, using an elaborate six camera set-up. As 'Ragini MMS' will be releasing in both Hindi and Telegu, the amount of footage that has been collated through six caras can actually be used to create three films in Hindi and three in Telegu!
The producers took a major leap of faith by entrusting first-time director Pavan Kripalani with such a set-up. The makers were faced with the challenge to get six cams rolling simultaneously, while ensuring that no camera caught the other in the frame. “Certain scenes took up to 4 hours to set up, but the result is so worth it,” beams Babu. For a five minute scene, the footage amassed is a staggering two hours! And to add to this novelty, the film was shot in a record-breaking 25 days. With over 2.5 Terabytes of footage, the editors have been working 24 X 7 to ensure that the keenly awaited film hits the marquee on Friday, 13th of May!
