Uttar Pradesh Government Bans ´Jodhaa Akbar´

The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to ban Ashutosh Gowariker's 'Jodhaa Akbar', fearing law and order problems. The dcision was taken late on Saturday.

As per the states Principal Home Secretary J.N. Chamber, "We have decided to ban 'Jodhaa Akbar' following intelligence inputs that indicated a possibility of clashes among communities."

The Hrithik Roshan-Aishwarya Rai starrer which released on Feb 15, has run into trouble in neighbouring Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh following protests by a section of the Rajput community alleging that it has distorted history.
