As is known, Aamir Khan had shown ‘Taare Zameen Par’ to top BJP leader, Mr. L.K. Advani, who reportedly cried during the special screening.

It now seems that 'Taare Zameen Par' may have had a powerful impact on the chief minister of Gujarat, Narendra Modi. For, in the state budget, the chief minister announced the setting up of a world class children’s university to cater to the problems of kids with ‘special needs’.

The university is planned on a budget of Rs. 1 crore for the first year, and would be built on a twenty-acre land in the knowledge corridor between Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar.
