Edgar Allen Poe Return Claim By Resul Pokutty Denied By Joaquin PhoenixÂ´s Representative

Hollywood actor Joaquin Phoenix's representative has shot down reports which quoted Academy Award winning Indian sound technician Resul Pokutty to claim that the actor is preparing to return to the big screen as author Edgar Allen Poe.

The 'Slumdog Millionaire' sound designer had earlier been quoted by Mumbai Mirror in a report which said that Phoenix was turning his back on his rap career to head back to acting, reported Contactmusic.

He told the tabloid that the star had signed up to the play iconic American writer and poet in an upcoming movie.

But Pookutty's claims have been dismissed by Phoenix's rep, who tells GossipCop.com the star will not be appearing in the picture.

The 'Walk The Line' actor quit Hollywood last year announcing plans to focus on becoming a hip-hop star.
