Super Cassettes Industries Ltd., owner of leading music label T-Series has lodged an FIR against Ram Gopal Verma in the Noida Police Station (Sector 20), Uttar Pradesh. The charges levied on him included fraud, conspiracy, extortion, cheating and criminal breach of trust, under IPC Sections 385, 409, 420, 421 and 422.
Mr Verma had tried to terminate the said contract in November 2007 on grounds that were not acceptable to T-Series. Realizing that Mr. Verma was acting unreasonable, T-SERIES in order to secure its interest and rights under the said contract moved the District Court of Noida, Uttar Pradesh on 23-1-2008. On 23-1-2008 the Honourable Court issued notice against RGV Film Factory Private Limited and RGV Films Private Limited and issued summons asking them to appear and defend the suit.
Instead of adressing the case against him RGV has been going to press claiming that documents are forged and fabricated. He has not specified exactly which document is forged and fabricated. How can an agreement for 14 films which stands acted upon in respect of 4 films suddenly become forged or fabricated in respect of remaining films.
RGV had firstly filed a complaint with Jt. Commissioner Police (EOW), Mumbai and recently filed another compliant at the Versova police station as reported by the media.
Looking at the behavior of RGV and his acts in the past, SCIL has realized his design to cheat SCIL and has been constrained to file a criminal complaint in the police station.
