Bachchans Offer Prayer At Shri Jagannath Temple

The Bachchan couple, who arrived at Bhubaneswar by a special flight, drove to the sea shore pilgrim town and went straight to the sprawling temple complex for darshan of Lord Jagannath.

Accompanied by flute exponent Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia, the star couple spent about seven minutes in front of the 'Ratna Simhasana' inside the sanctum sanctorum seeking blessings from the trinity.

Bachchan enquired about various aspects of the temple including the "Neelachakra" (wheel atop the temple) and the kitchen inside the huge complex, said Laxmidhar Pujapanda, a spokesman of Shri Jagannath Temple Administration.

"The Bachchans were inside the temple complex for about 20 minutes and no special arrangement was made for them to have darshan," he said.
