 After making social films like 'Rang De Basanti' and 'Delhi 6', Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is turning to comedy with his latest production 'Teen Thay Bhai', which he says completely desi in its appeal.Mehra, who has produced the movie starring Om Puri, Shreyas Talpade and Deepak Dobrial, says is very rooted in its Indianness.
"'Teen Thay Bhai' is 'desi' not just for the sake of it. It was the requirement of the subject that we bring in 'desi' elements in the film's screenplay. If there was an urban set of brothers then the story wouldn't have worked and the film would have fallen apart," says Mehra, who handed over the reins of direction to first timer Mrigdeep Singh Lamba.
