The hysteria among the politicians and many social workers/leaders against films and their constant diatribe against Bollywood has become quite tiring. If these people come across anything in life that seems harmful, their first instinct is to have it banned from being shown in films, though they do absolutely nothing about getting it banned in real life.

Talks of smoking and drinking not being shown in films, even while those industries are being allowed to thrive are passe.

In a television interview, actor Aamir Khan was recently asked about his views on the ban on smoking in films and he made a very relevant point by asking : " Why don't we ban murders (in films) too?"

Well, Aamir has a point. After all, smoking may kill, but murders actually kill!
