New Delhi, Jul 28, (PTI) After working in string of small roles on the silver screen, model turned actor Sudhanshu Pandey hopes to 'mark a new phase' in Bollywood with his upcoming film 'Singh is Kinng'.

"The true phase of my career will begin with 'Singh is Kinng', Sudhanshu told PTI. "I have always wanted to work with big banners and big directors and this movie has given me the opportunity to work with the likes of Anees Bazmee and Vipul Shah," he says.

Sudhanshu plays the character of Raftaar, a member of a dreaded underworld gang based in Australia. Talking about his role, Sudhanshu says, " Raftaar is a character who has presence throughout the movie. He is the Michael Schumacher of Akshay Kumar's gang who gets angry at the same speed at which he drives his car." The movie deals with the comic adventures of Happy Singh (Akshay Kumar), after he takes over as the King of an Australia based underworld gang.

Talking about his experience with actor Akshay Kumar, Sudhanshu, who had earlier worked with him in 'Khiladi 420' says that he has been smitten by the work ethics of the popular actor.

" Akshay is an ideal role model for any beginner. He's such a professional guy. His focus on work is quite unbelievable."
