Megastar Amitabh Bachchan's ailing mother, Teji Bachchan, has passed away after spending long months at Mumbai's Lilawati Hospital, in suburban Bandra. She was 93.

Mrs. Teji Bachchan left for her heavenly abode, early today. It is believed that her mortal remains will be kept at Amitabh Bachchan's bungalow, 'Pratiksha', for the last 'darshan'.

As may be recalled, late Teji Bachchan's husband, well known poet, Dr. Harivansh Rai Bachchan had expired a few years back, January 18, 2003 to be exact.
