Aroona Irani has tasted success in the form of acting and filmmaking. Her last film Anari No.1 managed to do wonders with its rib tickling fun. Kuku Kohli too has been known to make entertaining films that have had there share due of success at the box office. With Yeh Dil Aashiqana, the duo is trying their hands at a love story come action film with fresh faces and attracting music. The duo has gone all out to promote the film especially the music and its youthful attractiveness. The youth seem to be the main draw these days…
Challenges of the Heart
Karan (Karan Nath) and Pooja (Jeevidha) are two college students who sooner than the blink of an eye say, “Tumse Pyaar Karte Hun”. In an attempt to keep her culture alive and not fall prey to the modern day ‘cultural crackdown’, Pooja is constantly in contact with her family, who are quite aware of her relationship with Karan. However, it is Pooja who is left in the dark about her family members. Upon embarking on a journey to her home in India she and many others are the victims of a terrible hijacking ala terrorists extraordinaire. Naturally it is Karan that becomes the dashing hero but he is quite unaware of the consequences of his action. The major conflict comes in the form of family versus family in a way that presents a stronger obstacle than denying a girl of her true love. In an attempt to tackle terrorism love itself becomes the challenge.
Nadeem-Shravan have scored the soundtrack for this film and TIPS hasn’t wasted a minute in declaring it “their best musical soundtrack” (A Declaration Without Merit). Never the less, the soundtrack has mass appeal written all over it and has already picked up in the sales department. Terrorism has surely become the hot pick for topics recently. From Sunny Deol’s Indian to Umesh Mehra’s Yeh Mohabbat Hai filmmakers are surely trying to tackle an issue that would propose for a timely release. Yet only fans can wait to see whether the filmmakers are ridden of the cliché filled plots of Anti-Muslims warriors versus the Pro-Islamic Terrorists. For that we wait for the film to release.
